Linwood is a third-generation family business nestled in the heart of Hampshire. Its name pays homage to the charming village of Linwood in the New Forest, where the company’s current directors spent their childhoods.
At the heart of Linwood lies a design team with a keen eye for beauty, drawing inspiration from far and wide, from the rich hues of Japanese kimonos to the serene brushstrokes of ancient Buddhist temple paintings.
Designs are still sketched and painted by hand, with artists exploring various effects in watercolour and gouache until each piece reaches its perfected form. Carefully selected mills renowned for generations of expertise in printing techniques, colour, and materials ensure that every fabric is imbued with rich, saturated hues distinctive to the Linwood name.
